Janece Milos about ‘Trio-dag’
“Every year Suzuki Teachers try to plan an event for their students. This year we had a most lovely event: the premier ofmost recent event was the premier of Trio-Dag 2016 held today! This was a mini day-long Suzuki Institute made possible by the Suzuki piano teacher and composer, Heleen Verleur. Heleen composed
piano trios especially so young pianists could have the chance to play chamber music together with cello, flute and violin
players. This was held at Het Zeemanshuis in Amsterdam. The children had a wonderful time working together with
each other and the valuable experience of working with 3 different teachers each. The concert to follow the workshops was exciting and beautiful to listen to! My students’ family and I had a lovely time. Very proud of all the team work, parent support and hard working teachers! Music makes such an opportunity for appreciation of beautiful things and beings in our world. Thanks Heleen Verleur!!”

Piano Trios published at Alfred UK
The 3rd of June 2016 my two books of ‘Piano Trios for Young Players’ has been published by Alfred UK (but also US).
They look very nice, with bright covers and a simple drawing.
A cd is included.

Recensie in Pianowereld (Muze)
Een goede recensie in het blad Pianowereld (Muze, no 3 2016) geschreven door Elger Niels. Mijn trio’s zijn in goed gezelschap van Grieg en Liszt. 😉
Trio-dag 5 juni
Zondag 5 juni 2016 vanaf 10 uur worden tien van mijn ‘Piano Trios for Young Players’ gerepeteerd en uitgevoerd door 30 kinderen: violisten, cellisten, fluitisten en pianisten. Dit evenement vindt plaats in het Zeemanshuis, Kadijksplein 17-18 te Amsterdam. Een hele onderneming, dankzij de goede organisatie van viooldocente Monique Dowgwillo kan dit project plaatsvinden. Diverse muzikanten en docenten -onder wie fluitiste Gerda Thorn, cellist Brendan Conroy, en pianiste Jana Neplechovitsj- zullen met de kinderen gaan oefenen en zich voorbereiden op het concert, dat om 2 uur ’s middag plaatsvindt in de studio van BAU Space for Performing Arts, Entrepotdok 4 (op 2 minuten loopafstand van het Zeemanshuis). De foto hierbij is van een vorige trio uitvoering, de celliste Daantje doet zondag wel mee.
